Stool Color Change
Hi there, this is my first post and my question is regarding my cats stools. They have recently changed in color without any having changed foods. Should I bring in a stool sample to the vet. Her appetite hasn't changed and she was fine up till two days ago when one eye is winking, a little draining of clear fluid and I did hear her sneeze slightly. She seems to be sleeping more also. I've been cleaning her eye with non-preservative saline(outside only) and a little colloidal silver on a tissue. Today, no more tearing, less winking.
Does the stool color change and the other symptoms seem related? BTW, She is four years old, indoor cat, except in summer, she gets tethered outside and hates to come back in! Thanks for your input. |

What colour is the stool now? Dark or light? Sometimes pale yellowish poop can be a sign of liver problems, while really dark or tarry poop might indicate bleeding somewhere up in the digestive tract. It's definitely something to keep an eye on. Here is a guide to stool colours and textures that could be useful, even though it applies to kittens: http://bubushelter.blogspot.com/2008...op-colors.html
