Uncontrollably high sugar levels
My 6 year old female beagle is suffering from very high blood sugar..above 500..even though she is being injected with insulin twice a day along with oral medication. She also suffers from Cushing's disease. I have started noticing blood in her urine from past 3-4 days. I am really worried.. if anyone has faced similar issues with their pet..please give some suggestions..

First off, have you mentioned the new symptom to her vet? It might be something as simple as a urinary tract infection, which can be treated with antibiotics.
Also, what does your dog eat? Some people find they can control their dog's blood sugar level if they switch to a raw diet for their pet. Raw diets typically have fewer carbs, which are a problem with a diabetic dog.
