Puss From Puppy Privates!

I have a 4 month old Golden Retriever puppy and have recently noticed puss coming from his penis. It does not come in large amounts, but it is always present. I mentioned it to the vet and he said not to worry unless there is gobs of puss, but I don't think this is normal given that it is constant and sometimes spreads & dries up on the fur around his privates.

Can anyone either confirm or deny that this puss is acceptable on an ongoing basis?

Thanks

If there is no foul odour, or if it's not greenish and he's not licking a lot, I would say it's normal.
