Dog Biscuit Recipe
A friend of mine gave me this recipe for dog biscuits. I am going to try try it out tonight. I hope Muffy likes them (I may also have my hubby try them as well)
3 cups whole wheat or potato flour 3/4 cup hot water or meat juices 1/2 cup powdered milk 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1/3 cup margarine 1 egg, beaten Preparation time: 20 minutes. Cooking time: 50 minutes. Yield: 1 1/2 pounds. In a large bowl, pour hot water over margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour, half a cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead 3-4 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make a stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2" in thickness and cut out with a biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 325 ° F for 50 minutes. Allow to cool and dry out until hard. |

HA Treat
Hi everyone,
I found this hypoallergenic dog treat recipe on web a while ago, not sure who came up with it, but my Cooper loved it, it's still something that I make quite often. Let's call it "HA Treat" : Ingredients 1 Cup Rice Flour ½ Cup Oatmeal ½ Cup Almond Butter 2 Eggs 2 Tbsp. Water Instructions Oven to 350˚. In a bowl combine all ingredients except the water and mix. Add water a teaspoon at a time until a dough comes together. Roll the dough out to ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350˚ until slightly browned on the bottoms, about 12 minutes. Remove and let cool. Store in an airtight container. I hope your pup will like it |

Those actually sound good enough for me to eat, Samantha! Seems like they'd be easy enough, too--might have to give them a try for dogs' holiday festivities!

Why not?
Haha, why not?! Sometimes I catch myself caring more for my dog's nutrition than my own, thereby his food may taste even better than mine does!
