of course you didn't upset me rainbow! I want to know all sides of it, not just the success but the troubles also, I want to be prepared for anything, I found a great blog where he shows you step by step the healing and what to expect in terms of the looks of the scar, what is normal and what isn't normal, and what all you guys have told me and the links you've all sent is really helping me to understand it more and get a grasp on it. Everyone has been so helpful, my mom brought some "horse" type blankets she made for her for when we take potty breaks outside, my neighbour who owns a flooring business brought me over 18 feet of end of the roll non slip carpeting for her recovery (we have all tile/wood floors)and the girls at the pet feed store where I deal and who send me dogs to find homes for donated a sling carrier so I can lift her more easily to go out. I'm feeling more confident to deal with it all now.

Melinda, how great that everyone has been so helpful to you! I agree that it's good Rainbow included the bad, you really want to know everything you can and includes bad stuff sometimes. But Brina will no doubt come through with flying colours - because of all the positive vibes you guys will be getting. Hugs for you all. You are such a good mommy for Brina!

Glad that I didn't upset you and great to hear that you have such wonderful support around you.

Are you going to be crating Brina for the first while or is she not that active?

Brina is really active *L* we have a pen , you know with metal fencing? people use them for pups. We use it for wild life we're rehabbing, Brina will be using it, its large enough for me to lay out my single blow up bed in and I'll be sleeping there for a few nights.

I think this is soon, go ahead and call! I hear you about the Christmas leftovers. I have been methodically giving mine away or throwing them away. Managed to re-home a couple boxes of chocolates, threw away a few half boxes of less than amazing chocolates but have finished eating the really good ones! Have left the frozen cookies in the far outside freezer so they're not easy to get to - have to make a concerted effort to go there to munch on them. Anyhow, you know we're all anxious and waiting with you. Hugs.

dr. tropea just called, they were about to wake her up, all went fine, they can't believe she was walking on that leg, her crusia (spelling) was torn 100%, they had to turn the bone 16? degree which is also good, anything under 29 degree is good according to him. the angle was only changed 6.5 degree....I think I have it all right..I'll find out more tomorrow when we go pick her up which is at 1 pm. He gave me a good hint being her sling isn't in yet, he said you take a cloth grocery bag and cut out the two ends, the thinner sides so that you have the two handles. anyways....guess thats it for now, I'm relieved... a bit...will be better tomorrow when we get her home. thanks for all the good wishes guys

Yay! Good to hear the Dr. feels it went well. Dogs are so hard to read when it comes to pain aren't they. And yes, you will feel 300 times better when she's home tomorrow. Way to go Brina. That's a good idea about the shopping bag - handy for an emergency. Give Brina a big sloppy kiss for me tomorrow - when you're through giving her your own!
