Cat treats and rodent ulcer
Hi everyone,
My cat was recently diagnosed with Rodent Ulcer and our vet would like us to steer clear of traditional treat flavors (chicken, turkey, salmon, beef, crab, etc.) as that could be one of her triggers. My cat loves the Natural Balance duck and green pea wet and dry food, but to my disappointment, they don't make any cat treats. I've tried both of our local pet store chains, but neither of them carry any kind of duck-flavored cat treat. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try? Thanks for any help! -Kathy |

What about making your own treats with fresh duck meat? You could get some from the store and cut it up raw (or lightly boil/broil) into bite-sized pieces and freeze on a cookie sheet. Toss them in a freezer bag and pull some out periodically to thaw and serve.
What about lamb? If she's okay with that, there are freeze-dried 100% pure lamb treats called Halo Liv-a-Littles.
