dewormer for kittens?
I have a cat about 9-11 months old and he has white looking worms. My vet said that there tapeworms caused by flea larvea. Whats the best medication for this problem? I know you need to have a dewormer and a flea treatment to stop the cycle. Which do you recommend? Avantage? Frontline? Advantix? Any help will be great. Thanks.

What does your vet recommend? Just make sure you get any treatment from the vet. The stuff you buy in 'pet stores' often doesn't work.

But the treatments you mentioned are only available from the vet (or over the internet). One or two doses (if you have other cats, they should also be treated) are not that pricy. The stuff made by Hartz, etc. are pretty useless, I would never use them.

Did your vet see the tapeworms? Advantage, Frontline and Advantix only kill the fleas. You have to get other medication to kill the tapeworms and I would highly recommend getting this from your vet.

Tape worm meds are serious and should only be administered by a vet.
