Welcome, and berners are my fav so make sure you send lots of pics, they already have me falling for them you are so lucky to have such beautiful dogs. I use to have a berner cross until I lost him last year to cancer, they will always be close to my heart. We have a few other members who love berners too.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes!
I am sorry you lost your berner, They are wonderous dogs, but sadly they do not stay long with us. Our Bryan has elbow displaysia.. we have chosen not to operate on him due to the short lifespan and that it really does not do a long term improvement. He acts like any other doggie tho. |

Travis lived till he was 9 and a half so it was a normal life span for them. He had OCD at 7 months and bloat when he was 5 years, this is something you would want to watch for in your dogs. Here is a pic of Travis you can see a little of the berner in him as a baby he really looked like one.

Awww, your Berners are lovely! Nothing like a puppy with the qtip fuzz coat. Here's two of mine together at the cottage.

You guys are so lucky, I'm with envy. When I retire I'll get a berner, thats for sure and a rescue puppy to, maybe I'll open a berner rescue. Thats a plan now, all the berner kisses I want.

Those pics are adorable..
I can't believe how much they change. I am amazed tat Travis kept his wide white stripe on the forehead.. I think when Kaycee is grown she will barely have one. BMD - are yours inseperable too? They are super cute. Kaycee is jealous of Bryans long adult coat and tail.. my poor Bryan has to endure "plucking" of his tail feather so to speak. She pulls it out on him.. I am requesting a robot vac for Christmas |

Maggie is 6 so when Patch arrived she was not very pleased to be mauled but now she gives him little kisses and he sleeps up against her butt. They meet Berners all the time and the one thing I find most interesting is that Maggie always tolerates a new Berner in our home much more readily than any other dog... it's like she's saying "It's ok, you can come in, you're one of us".
