Emergency

My puppy was eating yesterday. I came to see him the next day and he had dropped a ridiculous amount of weight. He's not running, hardly following me. He's too tired ninths looks of it. He won't even come to sit on my lap, he just wants to sleep/lay down.

He won't eat, drank once, he is dehydrated I pinched his skin and it esnt like, took more than 3 seconds to go down.

Hes got diahrrea and sometimes his poop almost looks bloody/meaty/ plus his urine smells different and looks almost like mucus.

I tried to give him a burger patty to ser if it's just the dog food he dog food he doesn't like, but he wont eat.

I sat with him in my lap for most of the day.

Should I rub some kind of syrup or just sugar on his gums to help stabilize his glucose??

P.s the vet is closed till Saturday. Is there any vets in canada who are ok with me calling? In other words, does anyone have a number I could use?

Can you syringe any water into him?????

He needs a vet now if he is that dehydrated, it can't wait until Saturday. Not sure if this is a sign of Parvo, but if it is, he will need hospitalization. Hopefully somebody will come on to help.

I just read up on cpv, he did come in contact with another dogs' feces before, I don't know if he ate it, I'm sure he didnt. His mouth didn't smell, but one side of his nose did. I washed him immediately.
I'm gonna go and rub some sugar on his gums and keep him warm.

I'm Sorry SSS but there's nothing we can do here, your pet needs a live vet immediately.

Given the difference in time zones it makes sense to try to call a live vet closer to you.

Good luck and feel free to PM us with an update so we can add it into the thread.

As per the rules on emergencies this thread will now be closed, but members can of course PM Sew-sew-steve.
