To the end of winter . . .

Haven't been around for a few months . . . . . some happenings through the winter . . .

Below, not a good technical shot but . . . . . captures the Ruby ambush and Pete's attempt at escape nicely . . .

A winter walk with Ruby . . .

Below, winter road walking with Pete and Ruby west of Turner Valley . . . . lots of roads out west are closed six months of the year, making them walking and cross country ski trails.

Below, Ruby and Pete out west of Longview. Wind had blown a lot of the snow off this part of the world.

Continued below . . . .

Below, running for the house, Ruby leading the way . . .

below, Ruby, a portrait, west of Chain Lakes. She's been with us two years now and her appearance has changed dramatically.

Below, Skyler . . . . he shows up in the oddest places . . . .

Below, at sunrise, heading west until the road ends . . . . .

Below, Ruby, snowy-nosed.

We haven't been super adventurous on walks this winter as I've been pretty busy with other things. Ran the Los Angeles Marathon and had some time in Hawaii among other things.

But Pete and Ruby have been enjoying the winter running their four acres in the country for sure.

Your dogs are so lucky to have you for their owner. They're are so free and happy looking.

Your cat is very cute too , I don't want Skyler to feel let out of all the attention.

Breathtaking, as always, Rick! And the attack shot cracked me up!

Love the way Pete has his eyes squinshed shut in that first photo, as if what he doesn't see can't hurt him. (He wishes!) LOL. These are obviously a more athletic dog than I thought. Great photo of them galloping, both with a big Golden smile, having terrific fun. Beautiful roads end photo too, fantastic scenery.
