Zig and the vacuum

So we were trying to do our bi-weekly vacuuming and Ziglet was taking a nap.

You'd think that the noise of the vacuum would scare an elderly cat....and you'd be wrong.

As we approached Zig's body with the vacuum, he just WOULD NOT MOVE.

Soooo...we vacuumed him and I swear to you...he loved it.
I even think he was purring, though it was tough to tell from the sound of the vacuum.

ahhh kids - they always surprise you!

That is a great shot and he sure does look like he's enjoying the rubs, I bet it felt good though what with this being shedding season!

Well, that should certainly reduce the number of hairballs he gets!

What a good boy he is!

Most of our dogs run when they see the vacuum. We've had dogs that didn't care and just wouldn't move--I'd always have Luke-sized or Evan-sized hairy patches on the carpet when I was finished vacuuming. But none of them have cared for being vacuumed, although my folks had a long-haired black Heinz57 that loved it...

That's a great picture, Marko!

Hey thanks for the comments.

here's one more - it's an okay shot but it shows that the vacuum really was working as it's pulling the skin from Ziglet's head...and still, he loved it!

OH, if only I could do that!! Or find someone who weaves cat hair, I have mountains of it, in every colour. Whiskers, anyone?
I love the way Ziglet maintains his imperious siamese expression throughout. I didn't realize you had another cat, Marko. If he misses his brother, hmmm, I could slip you one.

He looks like he's on in that second shot! He really does enjoy it, doesn't he! he he

by the bye, Marko, if you're ever down this way, hazel's house always needs vacuuming...wink wink nudge nudge...I'm lookin' for people who actually enjoy doing that sort of thing since, dog knows, no one here is fond of the chore!

Great shot.
I keep forgetting to take a picture of Hunter letting me vacuum him off
I just did that today actually, he really likes it too. Cassie though, don't like it at all!

2 of my cats Looooove being vacuumed and both the dogs lol.
I find it really helps reduce the dander and loose hairs on them all, and if I can suck any hair up in the vacuum off the animals that means theres that much less hair floating around my house.

Zig's such a big sucky cat. He loves it...you can see it in his eyes.

One last shot

Thanks for the fun comments everyone!

Here's one last shot....The vacuum is seriously working and giving Ziglet even more exotic Asian looking eyes.

I wonder if they still make them ... a few years ago (read 10+) I had a pet-vac, a smaller hand-helf blue thingy which was made for vacuuming pets! It had regular plastic brush"teeth" at different thickness and space for the different types of fur. I used to vacuum my Rott with it and he didn't love it exactly, but didn't mind too much.

That's great, thanks for the laugh!! He does seem to be enjoying the vacuuming, maybe he knows the loose hairs are getting sucked away!

My animals vary in their responses to the vacuum. One of my cats has potential for this vacuum treatment, maybe will try it out sometime... The other cat hates the vacuum and my dog is ok, usually thinks it is something to play with so he goes outside while I vacuum.
