Relocating to France with 2 cats: looking for a vet clinic

Hello everyone,

i am moving to france in march and would like to have your recommendations for a reliable vet to insert microchip, give rabies vaccination and provide a certificate of good health for my 2 cats.

We are located in Montreal.

I am asking because i did not have good experience with vets until now, so i would prefer to be recommended a clinic.

I am a little confused..sorry long day. Are you looking for a vet in Montreal, to get your cats ready to go on the place. Like you said for a clean bill of health. Or are you looking for a place in France?

If in Montreal, you should look for a vet that it's practice is part of the American Animal Hospital Association.

You could also go in, ask questions, ask for a tour, etc. Alot of Vet clinics are more then happy to show them around their place. You will learn pretty quick the good vets vs the not so good vets, alot of times, just by talking to their front desk even.

What one person thinks is a good vet, someone way not. You should go yourself and see.

Lasalle Animal Hospital, Dr Plasse, has chips that work worldwide. He's my vet and he has a great bedside manner with animals. 514-365-6880. He can do all the necessary paperwork etc for their relocation.
