Muzzle Free at the Beach!

Here's Copper and Zoe sitting on a sandbar. Took them to the beach and since no one was around, I let them be free for a short while..............

Great foto!

It's like they're looking around like "are they coming to catch us?"

We just got back from the beach also...

They had a blast at the beach! When I made them sit for that picture, I was trying desperately to get them to both look at the camera, but they were preoccupied with their surroundings. Zoe was shaking(i think she was scared) and Copper just wanted to have fun and enjoy his freedom.

Zoe was scared of the algae clumps floating in the water and they were both frightened of a small tree stump on the shore! What pansies!! lol

Mummummum, we were in Long Point oh and yes they swam! They love the water!!! Zoe was a little scared when she couldn't reach the bottom, but she had to follow Copper so she had no choice!

Jessi76 - I am doing great thanks for asking!!

Here's a couple of other pics. I didn't get many as I was alone with the dogs and it's hard to hold a $400 camera from getting wet and keep an eye on the dogs too! Next time, I'm bringing a friend so I can take many more pics!!

Wow! Synchronized wading! Look at that form--every move matched perfectly in the two dogs.

Zoe and Copper shore are purdy, Copper'sMom!

your dogs are gorgeous!! do they enforce the muzzle law where you are in Ontario Coopers mom? They seemed to have all but ignored it now in Cornwall, it was a big thing when it first passed, but now they don't bother, mind you, the Spca is a real stickler about it. But no one has been fined at all and I've never seen a single pitty muzzled, and we have plenty around here.

We live in Prescott Ontario and there are several pitties around. We never see them muzzled.

We even have one who regularily comes to our house to visit. He is neutered but he is never muzzled; he comes and plays with the kids when we are outside. He is excellent with my children and with my dogs too.

Really really nice dog. Still no clue who he belongs to! He just floats in and out at will.

Your dogs are just gorgeous and it's so nice that they can enjoy a bit of muzzle free time swimming and playing!

silly law but what do you do I wish they would focus more on the bad owners

I'm not sure if they enforce the muzzle law or not. I haven't heard of any incidents. When I moved to town, I talked to the by-law officer and she gave me the whole speel about muzzling and blah blah blah. I have seen a few people out with Pit bull looking type dogs and no muzzles on. Mind you these are young rebellious kids who probably shouldn't own a dog in the first place.
I muzzle Zoe because she has an uncertain type of personality. She's fearful in public and dominant with other dogs so I don't take chances with her. I will take her muzzle off if we are at the park and no one else is around. As soon as I see other dogs, the muzzle goes on. I won't risk it. Even when she's muzzled I don't allow other dogs(off leash ) to come near her. She may pounce on them and then stupid people call authorities to complain about my dog. I just don't want the extra hassles. It's enough hassle having to worry about other people's off leash dogs roaming about!

If anything ever did happen you know it would always be your dogs fault too! You obviously are a very responsible owner and the law should not apply to you!

I will not get into a mass vent here because I think most pet lovers know that the law is crazy!

Take care and your doggies are gorgous!
