Talking Lili conquers the tunnel!

Today was the third time we've been able to get some work in with the agility tunnel. With the help of a handful of kibble thrown the length of the tunnel, and the promise of another handful at the end, Lili allowed herself to be coaxed the entire length of the tunnel!

After that, it was all downhill. Lili turns out to be a tunnel prodigy! She found out it was fun, and suddenly, we couldn't keep her out of it!

Good girl, Lili!

I wish I could get her as excited about the weave poles! Grace is much better at the poles--she's got a shorter turn radius and moves a little slower (she's going to be 14 in November! How did that happen?!?!)--but she hates the tunnel (a very scary prospect for a dog whose eyesight is getting bad). Lili loves the tunnel now (we couldn't keep her out of it!) but she's bored by the weave poles. She weaves through two poles, then throws in an extra twist outside the line of poles for every second weave through the poles. I wonder if that would be an acceptable weave strategy in competition?
