cat hair matting

does anyone know of a good way to remove matted hair fron our cats stomach.....she doesnt like to be brushed there and will bite when you attempt to ..although at all other times she is a wonderful suck and loves to be petted and cuddled.....the matts are to close to her belly to attempt to cut them off.....does anyone have any suggestions

We use professional hair salon sissors on our himalayan. If you can put a comb between the skin and knot it will be safer for your kitty. I would never attempt to try to brush one out, it is very painful.

I use treats while brushing to keep her happy.

Hair trimming sheers. Get one with small teeth made for animals. It works for me, it wont cut the skin.
