Question Meat Grinder Recommendations ??

Hi,

I did a quick Google search for a meat grinder in Canada and this popped up:

http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product....&cat=90&Mo=134

Problem is they want CDN$ 1,200

Can someone recommend an appropriately priced one for cat food / bone grinding ! Can I use a hand turner or would I required an electric motor ?

The Whole Dog Journal recently recommended stainless steel grinders made and sold by Cabela’s, especially the 1 and 1½ horsepower models.
They also recommended grinder is the 1.35 HP grinder from Gander Mountain, which costs about $150 and stated that you should check with local stores specializing in outdoor gear and hunting and fishing equipment to see if any offer electric meat grinders, often used by hunters to process wild game.

Apparently there have also been some complaints that the grinders made by Tasin have deteriorated in there quality recently .
