Hi Naomi - I drop by the Montreal SPCA 3 X a week. I will check for you if you cannot get there. Will you go today? If so, please bring them a picture -this is very important.

Good luck.

What a beautiful dog! You might want to notify local adoption agencies in case someone finds her and drops her off there. I know gerdysrescue.org work from that area of montreal..there is also animatch and rosie animal adoption. good luck!

Was she chipped?

Call, email, fax, etc all vets in your area!! If she gets hurt and someone finds her thats the first place she is likely to go. (unfortunately JRTs running loose often find trouble)

Also if someone finds her and thinks she is cute and decides to keep her they will likely take her to a vet to have a check up and shots.

Still hoping for you!

Thanks again,

You must be frantic. The only thing I can add is to get in the face of everyone you meet in the neighbourhood and hand them a poster. Sometimes people don't read posters (or they tear them down, or the city does). Luckily the weather will be mild this weekend, more people outside, more eyes looking.

Make sure to put REWARD in big letters (without mentioning the amount) and 'no questions asked'. Sometimes people put 'is on medication' - I imagine sometimes it isn't true but it may be an incentive to give her up if someone decides to keep her.

I'm not sure if you are in Berger Blanc's territory. If so, stay right on top of them, go often. I have seen tagged animals there, up for adoption.

Try not to despair, just keep at it.

What a sweet face. I hope you will be looking into it soon.

Thank you

It is so heart felt, everybody's concern,
she was spotted twice, yesterday morning & at 4:00 today I received a call saying the security of TMR spotted her in their lot at 7am, but for some reason the poster that I left there the night before was not put up yet.
So they tried to catch her unsuccessfully.
I could have been there in literally 1 minute.
I am going to leave this morning at 5am to look again.
It seems she's spotted in the morning, hope she makes it through another night.
Tonight won't be as cold as last night.
I'm surprised she made it through last night & had the energy to get away from a person.
She really freezes outside & jumps into my coat, even with her coat on.
Thank you all.

Good news!
She'll be hungry, don't forget to take along something she loves. If no-one is chasing her, she'll probably sleep in the vicinity. You know, usually they are tougher than we think.
Please update us as soon as you can.
Lots of good vibes coming your way.

Nope. Not allowed to lose hope. Have you thought of knocking on doors in the vicinity of where she was last seen? Sorry, I don't know that area at all.

Gee, maybe we should all come up there and do one of those sweeps.

Don't give up! All the time I was looking for Sable I only had one prank call but a lot of the time people are just trying to be helpful and if they see a dog at all they are calling...Sable is a shepherd/Elkhound and I got calls on border collies, king shepherds, Husky,...people really don't know the breeds..they just see a dog alone.
