Did you see him get hit? How old is this dog?

Can there be two pit bulls who look the same and are named Dezmond in Brampton?

Poor angel, if it is the same dog Whinnie posted Jan.7 he was placed, slowly transitioning-

Guys, Dez was never dumped, and he is only at my house when someone is home with him. His SA is severe, and we try at all costs to not leave him alone. His owner still has him at night, and if no one is home at my house, Dez is at his Dad's in his kennel. I DO NOT CRATE MY KIDS!!
But, now that DEZ has found his home, his owner will be helping make the transition slowly along side the new owner. Dez will be fine. His new owner lives & works on a farm, where provided Dez doesn't upset the horse too much, he can follow his new Daddy everywhere he goes, and play freely on over 100 acres of fenced land. YAY FOR DEZ!! I knew there was an ideal situation out there for my boy!!

Does the picture of the dog help? The Dez reported missing has a picture on Yahoo - and I am sooo confused. If Winnie was looking after it and you had him and now he is somewhere else, what is going on ? (Why is at so many different houses? Poor guy must be as confused as I am reading this, ) Or, do you (L) have a pooch named Dez as well? ???? (Admittedly, I do not have time to read every thread on this site so I must be missing info - this is just seems kind of weird)

I was surprised to see so many replies so soon. I have not read the other post by Whinnie-boots but here is the story... Dezmond was my dog and I needed to find him a new home. The new home I was hopefully gonna leave him to was where Winnie and boots lives. It is the same dog. He was at the new home when he escaped Wednesday night at 7:45 and then got hit by a van at McLaughlin/Elgin at 8:30. I hope I can find him to just know what happened. I would like to coordinate a search party for this saturday in the fields behind the Youth Centre if anyone is interested.

Dez's Accident

i didnt see the accident. A woman by the name of Karen saw the accident and said he was hit by a van going southbound on McLaughlin near Harold and Curtis. The driver of the van kept going and she stopped to see if Dez was alright. She followed him limping in behind the Youth Center where he disappeared into the dark and bushes. I dont know if Dezmond is alive or not or even where he may be. I have put posters up everywhere in the area (more than 30). I have searched for 4 days straight looking for him. Please if anyone has my dog I would like to know.

My heart goes out to you tremedously . I'm sorry I don't live in the area otherwise I'd be helping you look. Have you called the humane society or police to see if they have had any reports or sightings of Dezmond??

Have you checked the local vets or emergency clinics in the area? Someone may have found him injured and brought him there.

OMG - poor dog!! Have you tried the Humane societies and vets in the areas, including emergency vets?? Have you put up posters? You need to go to the HS and not just call, and need to put up posters there too. I hope you find him.

Please understand, we are very concerned and just trying to figure out how Dezmond ended up on the street in Brampton when he was on 100 acre farm.

ive called the animal services in Brampton, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Halton Hills, Caledon, and Georgetown. Ive put up 30 or more posters in the area. Ive searched for him 4 full straight days. Ive called all the vets in my yellowpages. as far as I know there was know farm I left him at whinnie-boo's house which is in downtown Brampton and was supposed to pick him up 2 hours later (we were just trying it out with the ladies 2 other pitbull dogs). During the 2 hours there he escaped and then there was a report called to Northtown Vet (24 hour emergency) that a large brown dog was hit by a van. Animal services and police cruisers went to the scene but didnt find anything. I went 30 minutes after he was hit (that was as soon as I knew) and I found 3 dog tracks crossing a frozen creek, but that was it. This was Jan 5th.

so very sorry...

that this has happened. I hope you find him soon. Must be terrible to know he is out there injured and you can't get to him to help him. My thoughts are with you and Dez.

From what I understand Dez went to Winnie's home on Jan 5th ....
Jan 7th she told us that Dez found his new home on a farm.....
Now we're being told that Jan 5th Dez escaped from Winnie's home and was
possibly hit by a car.......

Don't take it on this thread though please as it's important if anyone has seen Dez that they not have to wade through the comments everyone wishes to make! Thanks.

And that area is full of parkland! all the parks in that area have creeks, and not all are frozen.
