Free to good home - 2 Sealpoints

Hi All

Someone at my office sent this email to me knowing I help out with any animals I can. Now this email was sent to me on the 16th of June and I have not contacted the person that wants to give up these 2 beauties but I have the phone number if there is an interested party. I honestly dont know if they have found homes yet or not..if your interested you can pm me. Here they are:

We have to put Mimi and Toulouse up for adoption. They are two sealpoints from the same litter and are declawed, fixed indoor cats with all of their shots up to date. They are lap cats and are the most laid back cats we have ever had. They are 4 years old and great with kids. Unfortunately, some of our family members have developed allergies.

I hear you Chico...I always thought this was one of the better breeds to have for allergies..mind you they seem to have had a good home from the pics....but again pets are soooo disposable to some people right.

Thumbs down

aww thats really sad. How could you just give up your companions after 4 years!?
too bad my mom already has 2 Siamese cats that she ADORES... I'm pretty sure my dad wouldn't be too keen on the idea of 4 vocal kitties!

Wow, they are gorgeous! I've always loved Seal Point Siamese. I wish I could take them. Hopefully they've found a good um "allergy" free home.

Oy, can't people come up with something better than the allergy excuse? Why not just say the truth. They've become allergic to caring for their cats.

Oh - they are just beautiful !

As for the allergies, I have to say, I do understand that one - though I'm certain it's used as an 'out' more often than not.

Around most new animals in a small space (indoors otherwise), and my eyes swell up, tear up, I begin to wheeze as my airways constrict, and I get covered in hives. It's completely and utterly horrible, and if I didn't have my salbutamol on hand, it could be dangerous as well as just miserable.

Thankfully, *my* body seems to lessen in it's reactions in time, but it happens on an animal by animal basis, unfortunately.

OMG, my husband might kill me and my other Seal Point and three other kitties might not be thrilled but they are welcome here. Have you contacted Siamese rescue? We find good homes for meezers. I can't believe the free part - that's horrible!

And I don't buy the allergy issue either!! I love meezers and they are adorable! I wonder what YY would say - she actually does share, is a wonderful cat - she welcomed every cat I have brought home. Would I have to go to Hamilton to get them - what if I sent my husband? (I just love Siamese, lol)

Can you PM me the phone number - I actually have friends who teach at the med school at MacMaster and they could help me if I took them. If they find a good home, fine but I want to make sure they do. I worry about Free to Good Home ads. And thx!

you can still get them Cyberkitten. That would be amazing.
For the record - I don't buy the "allergy" excuse either. My kids had a siamese mix growing up. They all suffered from allergies but we dealt with them. It was more seasonal than cat. Now they all have one, two of them are about to have two!

Winston - in case no one has told you lately - YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! for all of your help and dedication to ALL animals!!!

Cyberkitten..these 2 beauties are still available. I thought I would call to make sure that they are rather than having to make other people call...So I spoke to the owner and he said they are heartbroken but they have no choice. They have a newborn and they also take care of one of their nephews and it is the nephew who is extremely allergic and if he comes to visit or stay with them it means a rush to the doctors office almost immediately. I mentioned that I was surprised because the brees is not really known for that and he said the boy was a preemie and has had some difficulties so I dont really know.

Regardless he sounded very truthful and also very upset to have to part with them but he wants to be absolutely sure they get a good home! I mentioned I would be concerned about offering them free and he said he wants a good home and that its not about the money!

SO GO FOR CYBERKITTEN!!! I have pm'd the number for you! Keep us posted!

Cindy

I think Siamese cats are so unique looking. I almost adopted one not long ago. Our computer guy had a neighbor who found a Snowshoe Siamese. I'd never seen one but just fell head over heals. It turns out he found a home for him a couple of days after he'd told me about the cat.

There is just something so magical about Siamese cats to me.

Let me tell you and I'm sure anyone who's owned a Siamese will agree. They can have a very distinct LOUD meow. Tend to be very talkative. Not all, but it is a common trait.

I have the best of both worlds.....my Ziggy (siamese cross) looks like the one on the left but has a normal cat's meow. He was the only one in the litter that looked siamese.....the rest were black/white, calico and one white with a few orange markings.

I think Kiska must have some Siamese blood in her because boy can Tiny Miss drive me nuts with her talking.

Ziggy is so handsome!

Winston, any news? Did CK get them?
