A few today from the "quarantine" room.

here are a few pics from today of Amira and Mr. Kitten who are still in lockdown.. Happy to report Mr. Kitten is doing well and is eating and yes, finally went #2 Amira is doing great as well, her ringworm is healing up good and she looks much better. Turns out she has pretty blue-ish green eyes under that mess of wrinkles!

I am so glad that all is going better.
Personally, as long as something has a heart, breaths and pumps blood..I love them all. No such thing as an ugly animal. Human's...well there are plenty of uglies there. Not much makes me cringe except for human ignorance.

You Rock Kathryn!

Cutie patooties! I always thought you had to quarantine pets with ringworm away from other pets and, of course, then do a major cleaning daily to make sure all spores are eradicated. Strange that the doc says it's ok to have Sphinx kitty in with Mr Kitten.

For whatever reason, my cats aren't susceptible to it and neither am I Only 2 of my cats had it once before and it was literally only there for a few days and went away with the cream.

Ringworm is the least of my worries anymore They were both in lockdown already for the next week or two so I figured whatevers been exposed has been exposed so I just let them romp around for a bit..

Hers is almost cleared up It TOTALLY helps that she doesn't have any hair because I just washed her up everyday and apply the cream and you can barely even see the spots that were infected. The one on her tails is almost totally gone.

And the fact I've had to shampoo my rug and wash everything in my room everyday for the past week because /someone/ kept barfing helps too LOL

Thanks for the explanation Kathryn. I knew there was one.
I remember a few years back when I was doing after school childcare. One of my Down's children came into the room. I noticed a new bandaid on his neck and touched it, asking what he had done. His teacher informed me he had ringworm. Yikes!! Guess who got it? >>>

Yeah for whatever reasons some animals get it and some don't. I already routinely bleach/wash/scrub everything because I'm a germaphob so at the point if it does happen to spread to Mr. Kitten I'll just have to keep him in lockdown a bit longer. I figure the damage is already done because her ringworm showed up JUST as I was starting to lock him in my room too, so not much I can do about it no

I actually used to volunteer to treat ringworm cats at the shelter because you could literally take a cat covered in it, rub the cat all over me and I would never pick it up

She is cute!! I've read that Sphinx cats feel like suede or velvet. They also need baths regularly or so I've read. I've only seen one or two at cat shows.

Right now she still kind of feels like an old leather couch lol.. we are still working on getting her cleaned up.. you have to groom them everyday with baby wipes and clean them up little little kids. Right now she is getting a bath everyday just because she is such a mess and I'm trying to kill off the tiny little bit of ringworm left...

absolutely the most high maintenance cat i have ever worked with though!! even more so than the fluffy ones!!
