How much water in the heat
Hi again I am posting about the heat again. Fanny is also drinking about 2 times as much as normal and this is the heats fault. I have heard that dogs can drink to much water but 2 times more than usual in high heat still sounds ok to me since even I drinking more. I know I am being a worry mom but When do I get worried that Fanny might be drinking to much? THANK-YOU ALL!

Our dogs also go through more water in the heat--sometimes even more than double the amount. When it is very hot, they require more water to keep cool, so it's best just to keep the water bowl filled and make sure she has access to it.

That sounds right to me as well - When it's super-hot like it's been lately, double doesn't seem excessive.

I would just be careful about drinking a lot of water at one time and then combining it with physical activity. That can definitely increase the risk of bloat.
