Bald spots, white dots and little scabs
Hi all,
My little Tuxedo (10 month old, male, neutered Boston Terrier) has recently developed slight balding patches on his back and side. They are not completely bald, but the hair is thinning. When I look closely at the areas there are very small scabs under it. He does not appear to be itchier than normal. He also has developed small white dots on his head in front of his ears and one or two under his eyes. There is also one on his rear end. They are not pussy or irritated. They are just small raised white dots. I have done reading on mange but I am not sure that is what is wrong with him. Other notes: we have recently changed his food and he has been at the cottage eating pine cones, rolling in the sand and running under heavy brush. Not sure if any of that could be causing this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! |

You have to take your dog to the vet. Even if we knew what was wrong (could be mites, mange, allergies.....??) there is no way to treat this at home.
