Judith Talena born....

Well, James and I had Judith on dec. 27th at 5:09 pm. She wieghed 7 pounds 3 oz 20 inches long. However, she is in intensive care unit right now, due to her heart now being fully formed. She has had surgery and is stable. We will be visiting her tomorrow, and will let you all know how things go.

Labor was 38 hours long, and I was given pitocin to speed things up. ALMOST needed c-section.

Congratulations to you and your family!! That's wonderful news. How long do you think Judith will be in the NICU? Cardiac problems are easily treated these days (I was born with a congenital malfunction and had major suregry but now it would be much less invasive. I see little ones every day with some form of cardiac problem and I know she'll be fine!) That said, I know how hard it is to watch your little one in the NICU too!

Take care and again, congrats!!

Judith SHOULD be coming home in about 2 weeks. She will have to have follow up surguries, but the surgeon doing them is the best in the country for what she needs! So we really like that.

Me, I am doing great. I was discharged from the hospital today, and I am up moving around. So everythings well otherwise.

Oh, forgot to mention, she has a full head of hair!

Congratulations and Happy belated Anniversary!

Please keep us posted on her condition....did the doctors know about this ahead of time?

Crossing everything I can for a happy, healthy baby to come home soon.

Oh Lilith! You got a "furry-baby" after all! I know you can't wait to be able to take her home and hold her safely in your arms. We've all been so impatiently waiting for word of her arrival - I don't even care that I lost the pool! Get lots of rest. You'll have plenty of time to hold her pretty soon!

Well, I got off the phone with one of her doctors a while ago. He said that we shouldn't worry about her too much, and that she's doing great. She is on some things to keep her blood pressure down, but should be taken off in a few days. My family arrived this evening, and we are all going to DC to see Judith tomorrow. She's in good enough condition where we are able to touch her and go in to her room, but only 2 people at a time, and no real young children are allowed. I am going to be taking a camera along with me, so I will have pictures to post!!!!! Well, I will keep you posted on how she's doing. Well, gotta get going. James has to be up early for formation, but after that, he has the day off.

Glad to hear she'll be fine! And thanks for the update. I don't know if you noticed, but there were a few people in here who almost exploded waiting to hear!
