New Year Resolutions....

Okay you all I know you have some so lets hear um. LOL Okay I will go first.

1. Lose some weight (10 llbs)
2. Get pregnant this year (than gain all the weight back LOL)
3. Get Charming over his submissive wetting.

Maybe if we all tell them it will make us keep them a little better. I know I am the worst at keeping them so I am really going to try this year.

The only real one I ever kept was the year I was walking around the party with a bottle of wine, and my resolution was to finish it by the end of the night. Apparently I did, and according to the pictures, did some break dancing to boot. But I digress...

Get in good enough shape where I'll go to the beach.
Get on the police force.
Do at least three laps in the 24 hour bike race

What kind of dog am I looking for? Good question!!

I've looked at so many I've lost count.

I'm not being breed specific. Rather, I would like a dog, not a puppy, preferably housetrained already, easy going, and good for a first time owner.

Have you talked to your doctor about not being able to get pregnant? Or have you just tried and now you are going to adopt? My husbands brother and his wife were trying for about three and she would get pregnant and than she would miss carry she lost about 11 babies that they know of. She if finally pregnant now though and due in Feb.

I won't make New Year Resolutions. If I break one I'll feel terrible. Instead, I'm opting for life changes! In the up comming year, I plan on making the following changes:

I'll loose weight and get into shape
I'll take a night course and look at a career change
I'll do more to help others

I haven't thought about resolutions until I read this thread... normally by this time I have a whole list that I know I won't be able to stick to.

What GsdDiamond said is a good idea... making changes.

Here are mine
-Stop buying weightloss products and plans and do it the right way!
-Exercising my whole body instead of just my fingers, Because my day just consists of typing and changing the channel...
-Save some money instead of spending it like it's burning a hole in my pocket

That's all I can think of for now...

LOL, I'm not a big money spender, but my husband is. He loves his video games. I have taken control over spending, and allow 1 game a month. Most of which are only 15-25 dollars. It is his "reward" for having such a crappy job, and getting paid so little for it.

Ok! Deep breath! Ready?

1. Lose weight
2. Eat healthier
3. Stop procrastinating
4. Listen more
5. Get more sleep
6. Clean out one drawer, cupboard, or shelf each week.
7. Get rid of stuff I'm just storing, but never use. (But, not my skinny pants - see resolution #1)
8. Longer walks letting Den-Den sniff all the "calling cards" from the other dogs; not rushing him.
9. Do one nice thing for someone else every day without their knowledge.
10. When I must have chocolate, make it a small piece of the best quality!

Yes we have been going to the doctor for the last 3 years. We were diagonsed (spelling?) about 2 1/2 years ago. We finally got into the fertility clinic last year, after one appointment we decided this was not for us, thats why we still keep hoping, and if it doesn't happen have chosen to adopt. We plan on adopting from overseas, so we have to keep saving our money. We wanted to adopt from China but you have to be 30 years old to adopt from there, so we are thinking it may be romania.

I am so sorry to hear that, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I also thought it would be so neat to adopt from another country. Just to give that little baby the chance to grow up in Amercia. Are you thinking about an infant or toddler or child. Boy or girl. I am so excited for you all. This is something we want to do later on in life (like a few years down the road) we want to have a few of our own but still want to adopt as well.

James and I have thought about adoption as well. I would love to adopt a boy from overseas. Age really doesn't matter to me. I just want to give a little boy a home.

my resolution is to go to the doctor and find out why after a year of trying i can't get pregnant. I'v been putting it off, guess i'm just afraid of what they are going to tell me. I'm hoping whatever it is is fixable without drugs or invetro fertilization.

Whoops just remembered to look at this thread, and respond.
We were hoping to adopt a little girl from China, but you have to be 30 to adopt from there. Don't know if I can wait that long, I am only 27, and its going on 4 years trying to have a baby.
We went to the doctor after 1 year, then had to wait another year to get an appointment at the fertilty clinic. Once we finally got there I realized that was not for me.
I always said I would never adopt if we couldn't have our own children, but once it really happened I changed my mind really fast. I would not adopt locally as I don't like the rules "The mother can change her mind up to 6 months after the child has been placed". I couldn't cope with that.
The hardest thing right now is my sister in law is pregnant. I have trouble even being around her, I will be fine once the baby is born, because I can get a baby, I just can't get pregnant.
We will be looking into adopting from romania once we are moved into a bigger house. I would really love to have a girl but would be just as happy with a boy. Its just soooooo expensive, you have to practically (SPELLING??) take out another morgage.
