Trying to Find food for kittens...In Brazil

I have a kitten I adopted in brazil. Apparantly they think when a cat gives birth it gives birth to a full grown adult. I have barely been able to find kitten food anywhere. Let alone treats that are good for them. I finally found some Purina Cat Chow for kittens. and some tiny little packets that you could get a single spoon full of wet food for Jr cats lol. Other cans I can find say it is okay for adult or kittens. Not sure how that works but I wanted some advice on maybe easy snacks I could make him that he might enjoy that are good for him.

Are you willing to make your own cat food? Even for supplementing? The best diet is raw, then canned. It is really not too difficult. I grind my kitties, but it is actually better if the meat was left in chunks but I started my kitties too late and Puddles won't eat chunks.

Here is a really good site. The recipe this vet makes is what I use to make my cat food:

There is also a lot of good nutrition info.

Another good site on cat nutrition.

Purina Kitten Chow is really not a great food. Kittens don't actually need any special "kitten" food, they just need more of what every cat needs, which is a quality meat-based wet food. If there aren't any commercial canned products that fit the bill, I would definitely consider making your own raw diet, as Love4himies suggested. It can actually be cheaper than buying cat food, and you would also have control over the quality of the ingredients.

I dont know I can barely cook for humans *is notorious for burning anything on the stove* but if it will be better for him I would not mind trying. I did look into it once but they said you had to have a meat grinder and all these big tools I would have no clue how to get in brazil unless I am a butcher
