When to start RAW bones
I am sure the question is out there, but I was unable to find it on hand...
I have a 10 week old Papillon and would like to start feeding her the Raw bones or Treats, but not the food all the way (I know they don't eat kibble in the wild), we do have her what we were told was the next best thing, ORIJEN. I would like to start on Raw later when I know more and am able to feed her properly, but for her teeth right now, I would like to feed her the bones... Which bones are the best for a small dog or puppy and can I start them, she will be 11 weeks this Friday. Any ideas?????

for a really little puppy?? probably wings or breast bones of chickens. both of those will really work those tiny little teeth. if you can get some breast on the bone and cut most but not all of the meat off, chicken breast is meat heavy and bone light so unless you want to make an actual meal out of it, take about half the meat off. there is a tough piece of bone in the center that might be a little tough for puppy teeth but honestly, my cats make it through that without any problems so she might not either.
good for you for wanting to clean her teeth!! raw bones is excellent for that!! -ashley
