so the kids got spoiled this afternoon... got them a box of BBQ Chicken and Sweet Potato dog biscuits, OMG they smell sooooo good (i tasted one... he he... not too bad!) and miss maika spat hers out! dakotah likes them, but still chooses crappy Milk Bones over these yummy treats. what is WRONG with my dogs?

http://www.lucky-dog-biscuits.com/

Once you read this you may want to keep all the biscuits to yourself. We know you have thought about it - perhaps even tasted them. That's ok since all ingredients are human grade and baked in a human grade bakery. So go ahead, share with your boo.

"share with your boo"!! Prin, is this a conspiracy?

What's funny is my dog food guy offered me these when he ran out of the California Natural lamb cookies I usually get, and I turned them down because there was no meat in them.

I usually get these:

thing is, the kids get sooo much meat as it is... nice to have a few meatless cookies to balance it out!

OH! and the store owner gave us a huge roll the new "Rollover Wild Pacific Salmon Roll"! not sample-sized, if you know what i mean. she wanted the kids to try it. i'll use it as treats, thank goodness you can freeze those things!

TD, thanks for posting that list but, as usual, things like this are only available in the big cities. We are going to Kelowna though in 10 days. I'll have to see if we can find the stores mentioned.

I bought some last year for my Eskimo - the Cookie Gourmet. He did eat a few - but not with the obvious enjoyment that he exhibits with other brands. And frankly, his breath was dreadful after eating the Lucky cookie. He was up breathing in my husband's face and he thought perhaps Elmo had a tooth infection - so of course I had to do the mouth exam. A couple of other people I know had same experience. Eskies are better off without too much spice anyway. Hope you enjoy them.

My fiends love the Northern Biscuits in general, but, TD, they only liked the Turkey ones for the first few. After that, meh! Their favourites are the lamb and lake trout, but the peanut butter and the BBQ chicken ones are fairley popular, too. And they love Milkbones. Can't give them to the pups because Fingal seems to be somewhat sensitive to the food colourings (goopy poopies ), especially the red one.

My guys might not be the best judges of stuff, though, because the only treat either has ever outright refused was lamb lung cubes-Fingal won't eat those at all. Bronwyn, however, will gladly eat his share.

so what is it with Milk Bones? i only buy the "plain" ones now cuz the colored ones have BHA/BHT and i'm not comfortable with that.... the beanies will pick MB cookies over *anything* offered to them! anything!

The little pet store where I go doesn't have any cookies except for some that someone locally makes. I've never tried them cuz they're $$$$$.

The last time I was at the other store all I seen was a bunch of different bulk cookies in bins.
