Roger Caras' Treasury of Great Dog Stories. The OH grabbed it for me months ago at a Goodwill 50% off sale. I just discovered it is NOT the one I already read. The stories are mostly old and a lot are about hunting with hounds and pointers and a lot of them are really sad. I don't know why he had to put so many stories about dogs dying in one book.
