Was she always that breathtakingly gorgeous????? She seems to have blossomed. Just stunning, certainly does look like a queen (Amira).

I have never seen such eyes on a cat.

Also, great photography on ur end.

haha thanks, yeah her eyes were supposed to be that color all along but were kind of mucky looking because she was sick. She is much better now.. skin problems are almost all cleared up.. she has been free of the ringworm for a while too. Her only problem right now is her sinuses are irritated so she is sneezing some blood... she has had a URI for sooo freaking long I'm not surprised. We flushed her nose with saline nasal spray earlier and got most of the goop out so she is breathing much better now.

and the title was supposed to be plural lol ooppss

kathryn,Amira is beautifulso much for"ugly"hairless,nothing ugly about Amira,she looks really soft,velvety like..glad she's doing much better.
After her spay tomorrow,no heats no problems

yeah she does. she still has some scarring from her skin problems so she has some rough patches but now that she is doing better she feels like velvet or soft suede. it's neat!

yeah she started going into heat about 2-3 weeks ago because I found out that this breed of cat is apparently very weird and have been known to go into heat early!! ugh. I couldn't get it done any sooner though because she was still sick. She's about 4 months old now and weighs just over 2 pounds... she is much smaller than she looks like the pictures... I should have put something like a bottle of water next to her for comparison

I love the second to last picture. Her eyes almost look likes she's saying....Oh I wuv you!

Good luck with the surgery on Tuesday. Hopefully her sinuses will clear up soon.

Sadly she broke with an illness again today and we have to postpone the spay I'm taking her to MY vet first thing tomorrow morning, because she has been to numerous vets before supposedly but I've yet to get any records.. she has been on sooo many medicines that you know what, I'm just going to take her to my personal vet tomorrow.. I took her to another vet for her skin issues about 2 weeks ago and it's totally a vet that is well known and I trust his opinion but at the time she wasn't sneezing like she is now.. she is sneezing blood badly and very congested and quite lethargic

Poor little girl She has the most beautiful eyes, are they light blue? That's what they look like to me. Hope you can get her all cured..keeping fingers crossed!

They are supposed to be "aqua" is what I am told by the breeder that rescued her. Her skin is supposed to be white and blue (blue like a russian blue). She is still all messed up though so you can't tell from the pics. She is sleeping on me now and sounds AWFUL. Ugh, I am so upset by this. I am having such a bad night

Do you have a vaporizer? That might make her a bit more comfortable. Or maybe just plug a kettle in fairly near where she's sleeping. A bit more moisture in the air might help her.

yeah i've been doing that and brought her into the bathroom while i got a hot shower too though. i'm just having a bad week already i can just feel it I'm just going to take her to my vet tomorrow.. I'm still broke so I'm going to have to borrow my grandmoms credit card... ugh.

Sadly, no.. still sneezing blood. I posted a new thread to try and see if anyone has any ideas of what to do with her. My vet thinks she practically has no immune system and suggested I go to Univer$ity of Penn$ylvania

I'm so sorry to hear this Kathryn.

Is there anyway you can build up her immune system? Maybe some kind of holistic supplement or a probiotic? Vitamin E is also good. Any of these would increase her antibodies for a healthier immune system.

Poor girl. I hope she gets better soon.

Her mom is Dotty


Her dad is Rifelman

Yes, wish I could find out how they are doing. It was quite hard to track them down, I just got lucky and took screenshots from their websites. I didn't really realize it but with these cats the breeders all like, swap their cats all the time... to apparently keep the gene lines good or something since the Sphynx is rare, so while her parents were with the lady who neglected her a few weeks ago, thy could have easily been separated and are already with a different breeder.... which appears to be the case.

Kathryn,when one of my cats from long ago(Sammy)was sneezing blood,it was due to a badly infected tooth,in those days,cats teeth were never really looked at.
I remember him sleeping close to my face and sneezing blood all over me,it was terrible

Aw that is awful. I don't think she has any infected teeth, but who knows with this cat, she is a trainwreck. I'm glad I took out the insurance on her because atleast if she does have any problems like that, she is covered. She goes Tuesday back to the shelter I worked at to see the vet that took care of Timmy so maybe he can help me out somehow
