Thank you. Its hard to get delivery people out of the house after they see him just because hes so short. We've had people deliver our food here just becasue they heard about our cat and really wanted to see him. Its kinda weird like they come here to see our little Buddy. He's a year and 2 months old

How cute... How do they make them with no front legs? Are they just breed to be like that. I think your baby is very cute.. I think I might be one that comes to deliver food so I can look and play with him.

Mona, thank's for the pics....I don't know how I feel about the Munchkin, looks a little too unreal and unnatural..like something Dr Frankenstein created
I suppose he cannot jump and run the way a"normal"cat does, which is part of their charm....
I am not saying he's not cute, but he looks like a cross between a Dachshund and a cat,I wish people would just let cats be cats.
Maybe soon we'll have non-shedding,non scratching,non jumping,non meowing,perfume-peeing perfect little cats

That is what I first thought when I saw him Chico but I was not going to say anything. I thought I might be weird or something. I also feel sorry for the little man. I am not sure how he would jump and stuff. I thought of a winner dog when I saw him as well.

Listen everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But Buddy runs and jumps like and other cat. I didnt get him from a breeder and he has no problems. No offence to anyone else but your saying that he looks un natural because of his little legs. Well its a form of dwarfism just like a human being that is a dwarf if a dwarf parent makes a baby it has a 50 % chance of being a dwarf just like munchkins and everyone is saying that they shouldnt be able to have babies for that reasone. Well if your saying that then your saying that humans with dwarfism shouldnt have kids either? you shouldnt discriminate against anyone let alone animals he was bred purposely like that actually the person That I got him from didnt even know what a munchkin was the vet told him the breed of the cat. A normal breader would charge 1500 for my little buddy I paid 300 and that was because he was a scottish fold. All I put his picture on here for was to show how beautiful all kitties can be and now I have to see him being critisized for his breed. I dont know any animal lovers that would critisize or pick fun at an animal for its looks I work at a animal shelter and I have never met someone who would do that.

Animals have feelings too and my cat is the happiest cat JUST THE WAY HE IS. And he has a forever home.

do you even know how many animals in the shelter i work at are not given a forever home becasue people care about their age, or their breed, or the way they look. Obviously alot of people are not animal lovers like they say. An animal lover is someone who loves animals no matter what they look like or how old they are. Alot of animals whould have great homes if people could look beyond the faults of an animals and look to their hearts.

but thats enough from me

I wasnt trying to be rude because I'm not a rude person but I've been hearing nuthing but bad stuff about my baby and who wants bad things said about their child. I cant find information on scottish fold munchkins and when i find breeders of scottish fold or munchkins they bite my head of for having one. What do they expect me to do bring him back from where i got him just because of his breed I love him too much for that besides i love the way he looks and he can do things that most normal cats cant do.
He can stand up perfectly strait for long periods of time by himself without hold on to anything how many cats do you know that can do that. Hes just as active, and normal, jump just like any other cat. and research shows that munchkins can out run a normal cat becasue they are so low to the ground becasue they can corner faster.
Now I ask how un naltural does that sound to you ?

He is a happy and spoiled little boy we'll just leave it a that

Jen,please cool off,I am not critizising anyone, much less a cat..I love all cats
Breeders however are trying to come up with new designer cats
/dogs,just too make more money. As you said yourself at $1500/each kitten, most people who pay that kind of money for a cat, will do so,to have a conversation-piece,to be different.
$1500 would help a lot of cats in shelters stay alive, you could sponsor 150 cats for that money for one month.
Now,your little guy is adorable,I never said he was not, they all are...and at $300 you got him cheap..the grey one just has a very sad face,as if he is embarrassed.
As for being an animal-lover,yes I am,250 % and if I could I would save them all.
I do however have a problem with some breeders, when shelters are filled with unwanted cats,as you well know, but my comment was not directed at you or your pretty cat and I am sorry if you took it personal.

Ok everyone - deep breath!
----snifffffffff----wheeeeeeewwww-----

Ok then. Jen, the people here are far from calling your handsome boy anything but handsome. Many people have not seen a cat such as yours and you've gotten some varied responses - I'll give you that - but none that should be taken other than with the love for an animal than it was intended.

I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that the people of this forum are the best you're bound to find, and not one person will disrespect your handsome boy with intent. If offense was felt, I assure you, it was not intended.

Now, let's see some more pictures!

I'm sorry I blew up it has nothing to do with everyone on here I'm just tired of the bad comments. In response to the "sad face" in the darker picture it was becasue he had just woke up from the flash. I was trying to get one of him sleeping.
As for information I was looking for.... I am an internet nut as well and I just wanted to see if there were others like him but I havent found one maybe just a picture of one.
It wasnt important information. I have a thread on the breed discussion forum under Scottish Fold Munchkin but I havent really got much yet
We're actually looking for a friend for my little buddy. He loves all animals so we're looking for a special kitty for him. He's alot like a dog (follows me everywhere, gives kisses, sits when told, runs to the door and meows when someone knocks) so we're looking for a cat with a dog like personality like the ragdoll or Sphynx because buddy seems to get bored with snobby kitties but loves to play

Jen,now that the missunderstanding is behind us,to be dog-like in behaviour, the cat does not have to be a special breed....I have three regular cats that behave just like you describe
It's just a question of chosing the right cat...and how you treat him/her,if I were you since kittens are so plentyful this time of year,I would get a kitten,it's easier to get your cat used to and fall in love with a kitten, than a grown cat.
At least in my experience......
I am sure your Buddy would love a little pal and you will love seeing them interact.
When I said the cat looked sad,it was meant for the gray Tabby Munchkin in the picture, not Buddy!

Well certain breeds are known for being more dog like and that is why I mentioned them. You can tell the personallity of a kitten just by picking them up usually. For example when we got buddy we looked at a bunch of kittens but everytime we picked one up it would scratch and claw at our clothing(which most kittens do and is understandable) but when we picked up buddy he just relaxed and sniffed us we carried him around talking to the owner and he was totally comfortable and that really stood out. We're looking for another special kitten/cat and when we find him/her I'm sure we'll know. But thankyou very much .....and I'd also like to mention that Buddy's legs are not as short as that poor kitty because Munchkins legs are not always the same size...I would feel bad for him if they were that small.
