Longest cat lifespan from personal experience

Hi gang,

Just curious - what's the longest any of your cats have lived to?
Our cat Ziglet lived to 16. and of course we want our current cats to outlive that!

What upper ages can we hope for for our cats? (not what's realistic...)

Thx

Hi Marko !

My very first cat, Samantha, declawed as a kitten, never re-vaccinated after her adoption by us at about age 1, near-fatally poisoned after ingesting powdered Spic and Span, recovering and going on quite happily demanding her dry MeowMix 'till the very end.......enjoyed life into her early 20's, when an oral cancer took her away.

I knew that another member, who's been MIA for a few years now (and whose presence I very much miss) had an elderly cat when she was last 'around'....so, I went looking - sugarcatmom's Aztec would have been around 20 when she posted about him here in 2013.

Hope? Well, how about "Hope springs......eternal"

Really appreciate the answers everyone Nice to see you DMC!!
Our Twiggy is 13 and the most unique little purr-machine-gremlin-love cat we've ever had. Every single day we snuggle the crap out of her - and she loves it.
Seriously we get her in a full body snuggle-lockdown - and she'll start to purr for like 18 months at a time....it's crazy....

We want her to live to 30

I was thinking that, too--Barkingdog! Even at 25 years, JD will probably outlive me! I need to find some young, cat-loving friends to appoint as guardian...
