The Netherlands Value Pets & Wildlife
I'm travelling to The Netherlands next week to partipate in the anniversary ceremonies of the Liberation of Holland. In our travel package we received some very interesting facts about the dutch. I was impressed to learn how much the country as a whole love and care for all animals whether domestic or wild.
According to the travel package, The Netherlands is the only country to have no abandoned dogs and cats. The government managed to do this without doing any harm to the animals. In an attempt to ensure dogs’ rights, the authorities made strict laws against animal abuse. Also, in the Netherlands there are ecoducts — wildlife crossings for the protection of wild animals living in the forests. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have zero homeless or abandoned pets in Canada and the U.S.? |
