Karma is definitely getting to be a beautiful big bear of a girl! It's been a while since I've seen her pic--she's so grown up now! I love the pic of the conversation.

Are you going to be doing the show circuit this year?

You betcha we finally have all the Canadian transfer of paperwork from AKC to newly recognized "limited access" CKC ( what a head ache that was let me tell you)
But her coat is in great, her size is there ( not so lanky looking anymore) so we are hoping to have her in her first show in March. The local one.
From there, I have a definate 3 planned shows ( New Liskeard, Coniston again, Trout Creek)
They're just the smaller shows, but best for me to learn the whole handling thing at and for her to get accustomed to the surroundings.

I may send her with a handler ( another TM breeder who owns Thor the first CKC Ch. TM ever ) we have talked extensively and originally I had contacted her to see what shows in the south she was going to attend so there could be more than just Karma representing the breed, regardless if she was going up against Thor or not ( who is a special) I just felt it would be wonderful for judges to see the variety in color/size, structure in the breed.
So we are still in the workings over this, but the lady offered to handle Karma for me ( shes been in the breed for MANY MANY moons) she will most likely be going up against herself for breed, but hopefully we can get a few group wins under her collar.

Its going to be a long interesting road to get Karma her CH, but I foresee it as an adventure

There is also some talks of another TM joining our family in the next year or so

She's definitely got a great coat!! So shiny!

Showing should be quite the adventure! Do you practice a lot? How do you think she'll handle working in front of an audience?

In the States I know that the more dogs attend a show, the more points toward a title you can win. Will that be an issue for Karma? How many Tibetan Mastiffs are shown in Canada?

If that's the kind of Karma that's gonna come and get me some day I'm all for it. She's gorgeous and will no doubt win many a show! And now you say you're going to get another, soooo not fair!!!

All we can really do is hope for group wins... the only other one that is shown is Thor http://www.everestnorthtms.com/Our_Dogs/Thor/thor.html I think Sue may have a few others in the ring from time to time, but its really just me and her that will be showing.
Karma will be solo in the rings up here as Sue doesn't do the "small" shows but that will be excellent for us to get our stuff together for the "south".
I may have convinced another breeder to meet me down at the Trout Creek show and her dogs I think Karma is great don't get me wrong but competing against dogs that are of the "Barnes type" Impressive to look at, fast maturing ect. And after westminster thats the TM judges will think of all we can do is hope.
Apparently finishing a black TM is hard too. Some judges apparently were unaware that it was an allowed color. Its tough starting out as a newbie with a newly recognized breed. But again, its all for fun really No matter what any one else in the world thinks of Karma, to me shes perfect.

We're also heading into some "prep for GGN classes" this winter. I hope to get that title on her and perhaps dabble in a few other things. Who knows right now.

I'm sure she fits in your car Frenchy, but I am not divulging the secret so she does not vomit all over your car
Kay kay has some motion sickness/excitement issues in a car

Harley indeed will have some competition next summer, I guestimate by that time she should be a little over 100lbs.
Her breeder figures she should finish around 120-125 lbs by the way she is growing now.
