An October reminder

Please remember that cats outside always face dangers. Unfortunately during the month of October black cats in particular face much larger dangers. Most shelters refuse to adopt out black cats during the month of October for obvious reasons. The crazies come out more so this month. Horrific things are done to these poor kitties before they die. Please, if you have a black kitty, or any kitty for that matter, keep them indoors unless you are outside with them on a leash. Especially during this month.

Once I rescued a black kitten, a female (not my only black rescue) I loved her, then my dad loved her a lot. We used to let her out in the day, and one day she went missing. A couple of years later we found out that the neighbors son (who has mental problems, but I'm not saying this out of anger but as a medical fact) his mom is a great person but I don't think she has still accepted the fact fully (not an easy thing) anyway, his sister told my brother that our black cat was murdered (yes I am going to use that word) by the young guy with mental problems I talked to you about.
When he was a kid, he had episodes but we never knew he could be dangerous, I guess his family didn't know either or did not want to see it.
Knowing about it was even worse than when I believed she got lost. As I write this tears run, and I can't even start to imagine what my little love went through before she died.

So yes, it's a good advice to be remembered please.
