cat-dog troubles

i have an 18 yr old cat- about three years ago we added a dog to the family. the dog at first had trouble peeing outside and the cat was angry at us for getting the dog and was also peeing inside. this stopped but recently we have been finding pee in the same spot just about everyday- the thing is we dont know who is doing it. does anyone have any ideas on how to catch the culprit?

An 18 yr old cat who is suspected of peeing outside the box needs a vet check.
