Sad to Laughing in a Couple of Minutes

We did a trail we haven't since the snow disappeared. Up ahead there's a splotch of wrong colour, ah, so sad, it looks like fur. Poor thing. Probably run over by a snowmobile last winter, covered by more snow, and just now re-appeared.

Closer. Hmmm. That's a good sized splotch. A dead animal is usually scattered about by scavengers, this looks whole, though kinda flat. Well, that would fit with the snowmobile.

Closer. Ah, so so sad. There's a little paw, pad up. Huh? That's a remarkably well preserved paw. Everything apears to be attached to itself too, limbs, tail, weird.

Closer. That paw is plastic! It's a stuffed toy, now disemboweled. Now I'm relieved and laughing. It's just a toy.

Next time I meet my neighbour who also walks this trail I'll have to ask her to have more regard for my emotional well-being when she lets her dogs bring their toys along with them. LOL

I love happy endings!

And with any luck, no more stuffies will be sacrificed along the trail.

Cute . Is the toy a write-off now? I'd like to see your neighbor's dogs' faces when they comes across it again.
