Intro to Spook

Long story, but here are a couple pics of Spook, the newest member here

Shes a 5 month old Corgi (Pem)
Here's a couple pics of her. She is fitting in well with everyone here so far.

What a pretty, feminine girl, Erykah, will you be showing her? Love the photo of your horses chilling out, and laughed at your dog looking for a tail on Spook, that's a classic. Marv is just amazing, like a great big bear, or lion. You have a very nice managerie going there.

Spook indeed will be shown and really expected to finsish quite quickly. Immediately after that she will be going for her herding instinct and we will start herding with her.
She is a co own with another breeder and handler. In exchange for putting a working title on her, the co owner will be helping with handling my TM's this summer. Going to be a very fun year

Ours are not allowed to finish before 12 months of age here, to make sure they live up to any early promise their last challenge has to be gained after their birthday. Sounds like you have a good deal going with your friend.

WOW Erykah ....you're sure collecting lots of fuzzbutts.

Spook is a cutie for sure. My vet has corgis and I have looked after them when she's gone out of town. They are a wonderful breed and I just loved having them here.

You know, I was just thinking it's about time we had another full tour of your Blue Eyed Funny Farm kiddo! It's been awhile since you did a full "brag sheet". I remember you posted pix of your gorgeous calves (noooooo, not yer leggs silly ) and...some very pretty chickens.

Spook has got such a "happy" face. For the show-world uneducated ~ what does TM mean?

And WHO is that gorgeous boy Elmo. ?

gorgeous gorgeous animals, I have a soft spot for corgis, my first "stray" adoption when I was 11 was a corgi tossed out of a car on the 401

Very cute pup...I thought Corgis were suppose to be blonde...like the Queens are? I didn't know they came in other colours. Love the pics of the horses too! U have cows also and chickens? Can we see pics of those too?

The Pembroke is blonde or tri colored and the Cardigan has a tail different ears and is a bit larger, comes in a variety of colors

I dont have chickens any more, but am getting a few again this year. Since we moved we didn't have any place for chickens here but now we are converting a shed for the time being until the barn goes up this summer ( can't wait)
Same with the cattle, we get them from my inlaws, this year 2 more will be coming here once all the fencing is up for pasture.

I will go through everyone and get a picture of them all over the next few days ( I actually had a brainstorm in my sleep this morning that i wanted a group picture of all the dogs in sit stay and down stay. LOL

And... TM is just short form for Tibetan mastiff, its just far easier to type that lol

Elmo was introduced here and then it went to hell in a handbasket because of what he was (or looks like).
I have been leaving him out of discussions on this board since. I'll find the thread about his introduction. He is a rescue story

Well, turns out Elmo never had a formal intro lol
Here was his first appearance on the board.
http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread....highlight=Elmo

He was a boy that I found on the major highway here, he was running all over the road as I was coming down a hill at full highway speeds and could see cars and trucks dodging something. As I got closer slowing down I noticed it was a terrified dog so naturally I stopped my car and opened the door and called the dog (in the middle of the highway... it was a straight stretch so traffic had ample time to see me stopped with hazards on making them stop as well for the dogs sake) He came close to the car door and I reached out and grabbed him. He jumped right in.
I noticed once he was in the car what he was and had a few choice words over the situation on my way to the house. First, just because he was on the road like he was.
Secondly, my man was one of those people who fed into media hype as well as all of his family. I was worried about his reaction when I brought him home. but I was not going to leave him there to be hit.
LOOOONGG story short, through various rescue efforts he had a rescue in Oklahoma who was willing to take him but he needed his vaccines before he could cross the border. I would have like him to stay in Canada, but its not easy to explain to rescues who are already over filled with dogs with his same general appearance that it is NOT an owner surrender. I know they hear every possible excuse in the book.
So, after lots of vet visits, some obedience classes, dog sledding adventure, french ringsport weekend last weekend ect. someone from the ringsport had posted a picture of him on their facebook...
This girl who is a known breeder of OEB's, Bullies, DDBx PUG crosses and you name it commented on his picture wanting to know who owns that dog, if it was a male and if that was her OEB mix she sold to someone in the area. I haven't yet commented on the picture, the person who posted his pic messaged me and I asked she not answer it either. I have a few choice words for this girl who breeds these guys. We have had it out already when I was at her house for work last summer. But being i was in the company truck I had to show some professionalism.

He's also one heck of a monster, he's the same height as karma (27 inches) and weighs in at a very solid 83lbs

I remember getting your contact info Chris21711, and that thread was also around the same time yes
