Dogs first heat

I need some help, this is the first dog that I have ever owned and I am not really sure what is going on with her. First, i need to know if it is possible for her to get pregnant before her first heat? This should be starting very soon, but she has been acting very weird and gaining a bit of weight in the last couple of weeks. Could all this be because of her first heat coming on? Any help would be appreciated.

How old is your dog? How long have you had her?

Here's what to do: Call the vet and make an appointment to get her checked out and spayed. that way, no worries about heats, false or unwanted pregnancies, pyometra or cancers of the reproductive organs.

We can not diagnose your dog over the internet. Please consult your veterinarian.
