Cat sleeping cycles

Hi members,

Just curious - do your cats sleep the same amount each day (roughly) or do they go through cycles where they sleep even more than usual (even though they are eating and playing at the same rate) ?

Thx!

Good Morning Marko:

Good question. We notice basically the same situation you are talking about. Sometimes they tend to sleep quite a lot and other days they are up and about, doing short "cat naps". And other days it seems they sleep all day long.
Something like people having a bad day or a good one
We wonder if the weather has something to do with it as well. Goes with the cycle of the moon or something.
We don't have them, but the same thing also applies to dogs and horses.
When I was a young lad and worked in the bush, the teamsters were always talking about the horses having their "good days" and their "bad days".

Thx for that input Reg - I knew it couldn't be just ours that go through this.
