More "free to good home" postings online

Is anyone else concerned with the amount of "free to good home" and "breeding postings" by owners on kijiji? I just recently found this section and everyday there are so many more free ad's and ad's to breed existing dogs. Check it out at http://toronto.kijiji.ca/ and look at your local postings. I wish there was something we could do about this. It seems like this has become an online site for trading and backyard breeding.

Dang...

for fun I looked at Montreal.

There's a potentially good case for a rescue group on there. Says he will have to give it to SPCA by Nov 22nd if no home found for it.

I hate kijiji , last week I saw an add from someone who wants to rent his dog !!! So I e-mailed the admins , telling them how long could they get , letting people post adds like these. Never got an answer from them

It's a 1 yr old white lab mix. Pretty handsome looking too.

Says moving to a new place that doesn't allow pets and promises this isn't spam, gives name and number.

Why not sweet talk your network admin and see if you can get wider access online?

Thanks to some received advice, I mailed him two links

www.rosieanimaladoption.org

www.animatch.com

Maybe he will contact one of them. Seems like a very nice looking dog to me.

I think the guy just hasn't tried hard enough. Then again, there's not much publicity for rescue groups.

More "free to

Those freebie ads drive me nuts but they do show how ridiculous some bybs are charging for mutts. If people would stop paying such absurd prices these bybs would't be making such profits from their poor over-bred pets and it might be a way to eliminate them. Kijiji shouldn't have anything to do with selling live stock or ads for breeding.

I sent him an email as well telling him to send his dog to a shelter rather than give him away on that horrid site. I warned him of the creepy people that lurk there looking for unfixed dogs to use in puppy mills or to sell to medical laboratories.

Did you see the one looking for a small to med size dog for free? It's listed as a new posting today, but I saw it there this summer - I'm sure that's a byb or a puppy mill. Cheap way to start a business!! I emailed him as well asking him if he's found a dog yet - just want to see what he replies....
