There's an artist, Nathalia Edenmont, who kills cats, mice, doves, rabbits, and other animals, mutilates their bodies, and then takes their photographs. She's on exhibit, among other places, at the Wetterling Gallery in Sweden. She has taken the top halves of five white mice and made them into finger puppets. She beat a cat to death with a stick. And this is called art. This is not only inhumane, but morally reprehensible.

That is completely disgusting!!!! I am so angry right now that I am shaking! I cannot believe that they allow someone to do this. If I went out an murdered all sorts of people and turned them into vases and puppets, etc.... would it be allowed because it is art? I am an artist and I understand wanting to provoke thoughts and emotions, but when is it to far? I think this has passed the bridge of acceptable. This sickens me.......

I think everyone here should sign this petition.

And yes, this is 100% real - completely unmanipulated. She has been on the news before and in the papers, about 1 year ago.

It is amazing that this is occuring in Sweden, a country that in noted for its progressive child abuse legislation. Surely, animal lovers there are campaigning against this vile and cruel so called "art". It is torture, NOT art!!

I hate to read this kind of stuff. It makes me so sad!!

That is so sad......It makes you wonder what is going on in that head of hers.....they say that she kills the animals in a "humane" fashion, but do they think that makes it okay? For pitty's sake, let the animals rest in peace! I can't believe this is not only allowed, but actually sold as art!! The only thoughts it envokes in me are thoughts involving her, me, a bat, and 10 minutes alone......
