Introducing a new dog

Hello!

I am looking for some advice on crate training a newly adopted dog. I currently have a 2 year old Husky/Shepherd and am looking into adopting a second furry friend. I am just wondering, before I do adopt the new pup, what the best way of crate training the new dog would be. Should I crate both dogs while away, although my current pet is already crate trained? Does the new pup only need to be crated and the other one may roam the house? If so, should the new pup be crated in a room where my current pup can not access or see each other? I am all up to date and informed on the introduction process. More so require advice on after they are already in the home together and leaving them unsupervised at home. I apologize in advance if I am posting this in the wrong area, new to the forum!

Thank you for any advice you may be able to provide!

Justin
