Puppy has a tooth infection???

Hi everyone!

I'm Jenni, I would like to first start off that I am completely new to this site/forum.. I just wanted to ask if this is normal for my 5 month maltipoo named Jax to be losing his back molars? Should I be really concern? I have a German Shepherd but I never had any problems with her teething...So I noticed Jax has been having some smelly breath but I thought it was because he accidentally got into his bag of chicken jerky sticks that I had bought from Pet co. A few days ago he was choking while he was chewing on his jerky stick. So I'd checked his mouth to make sure he wasn't choking on it but turned out that one of his molars got really loose and it had blood around the loose tooth; it was about to fall out but it couldn't on it's own. I know I'm not supposed to pull out my own dog's tooth but it was bugging him really bad, he was whimpering a lot. So I pulled it out, but now another molar became loose and it seems like he has cavity or something because he was whimpering a lot again..... I pulled it out again =_____= yes I know... This time blood came out with a small black gooey thing too.. seems a little rotten to me.. Anyways if you guys can answer this post, it means a lot to me! Sorry if this seems a little confusing.. I can go a little overboard with the details but I'm just really worried about my baby.
Thank you!!

There is no way for anyone to tell if a dog has an infected tooth on the computer . You should bring your puppy to the vet to make sure everything is OK .

Puppies do teethe at about 4-6 months. Best to let the baby teeth fall out on their own, though. Dampen an old washcloth with water and throw it in the freezer--once it's frozen, offer it to Jax to play with. The cold should soothe his gums and as he tugs and chews on the cloths, it should help loosen the baby teeth. Make sure to supervise him carefully, though, so he doesn't chew off bits of the washcloth and swallow it.

The weird-smelling breath is normal in a teething puppy--it's from the small amount of blood they typically lose when the tooth works its way loose.

We had a pup that lost all of his baby teeth in one week. The first day, all his incisors came out, then his canines. Two and three days later, he lost all the back teeth! We called him the Toothless Wonder for a while, but his adult teeth were through in just a few weeks.

Of course, if Jax seems to be in a lot of pain or if he seems to be getting some discharge from his gums, take him to the vet for a look-over. But it sounds like your little guy is just teething normally. And usually, I think, it's the back teeth that come out last, so he might be almost done with the whole process, now
