bus companies and pets

As some of you know I am living in the Soo for school. I was planning on flying home for christmas, but its too expensive, plus the stress factor on my cat in flight. I am trying to find someone who is driving home for christmas..but so far no luck.

Anyone know if any bus lines allow pets on board. Oh, home is toronto area.

You are probably out of luck. I brought my fish home from university once.. A beta back in its cup within its dry bowl and got a ton of flack about it. Pretty sure pets in general are a no, carrier or not.

Would you believe that the Greyhound bus line has never transported a greyhound, or a basset hound, or even a Pekinese for that matter. There are no commercial bus lines that will transport pets

ACO maybe you could check out Go Train...I dont know if they go up as far as you are but i found this online about them:

May I bring my pet on the GO Train or GO Bus?

We allow animals on board out trains and buses when they are in enclosed, secure containers that do not inconvenience other passengers. Containers are not needed for seeing-eye, hearing-ear, or special-needs dogs required by passengers for independent travel
.

If they dont go all the way to the SOO than maybe you could drive part way and hop on a go train into Toronto??

hey

I checked the go train doesn't run so far. I checked even Sudbury and it doesn't. I checked into VIA rail, and the closest city that it runs from is Sudbury. So I would have to somehow get a ride to sudbury. But I was not able to get a price on seats on the VIA rail site.
