"Suki" Lilac point Siamese

Suki and Daisy are BOTH adopted** Please do NOT email Lucky Rescue about them***

I"m a purebred lilac point Siamese, and my life has been pretty sad. I was left outside to have litters of kittens, even though I am very young. My kittens have been given to pet stores, and I was in a cage on my way to the SPCA. Lucky Rescue couldn't let that happen so now I am safe. I am very stressed and frightened right now and very sad at the loss of my babies. I need a quiet home with someone who understands my breed and will keep me indoors where I belong. Can you give me a permanent and loving home that I have never known??

Isn't she stunning? Her owner left her in a cage under a cement deck for 6 HOURS before we found out about it.

She's at my house.

I wish you were closer too! Now that Suki has had a day to overcome her extreme distress, she is proving to be a little love sponge, who wants pets and more pets!!

She will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption, and needs to gain some weight, as she is skin and bones.

She is so cute. I am trying to convence my husband to drive to where you are so we can pick her up. I don't know if I will suceed though as that would be a long drive back home with a cat.
I hope she find a great home. Maybe you should keep her so you can send us pictures from time to time.

That window-ledge picture should be in a frame, winning awards...something. It's breathtaking!

Did you take the photo, LR?

LR- I live in Mount Uniacke which is about 20min from Halifax. I am not a city person and would not want to live in Halifax. So our location is perfect, my husband and I both work in Halifax though.

I wish I had a camera that would take pics like that! No, my brother took them, as this cat belonged to his neighbour and he is something of a camera bug..

I"m glad to have them - great pics are everything when it comes to getting adoptions, and Suki has already had nearly 50 hits on my site.

Guess who is coming tonight? One of Suki's kittens and apparently it looks just like her! I"m gonna have a full house!

A couple people have expressed interest in Suki, so we'll see! I'll probably have a pic of the kitten tonight. It would be lovely if someone took both of them!

Jet's owner was so upset at his death she cannot think about taking another cat at the moment.

Got the baby! The reunion between her and Suki was very touching. This little girl is about 7 weeks old, and a carbon copy of mom!! It would be wonderful to see them adopted together.

We've had a number of people interested in the gorgeous Suki, but unfortunately NOT the right homes for her.

She's SO happy to have her baby with her, and the bellowing and howling has stopped!!

I"m very excited! Today a lovely lady came to see the girls, and she sounds like the perfect home. No kids, no dogs, owns her own home and has two Siamese, so the growling and howling didn't bother her.

All that's left is the homecheck tomorrow, and if it goes well, Suki and baby have a home!!

Wonderful,Lucky all kinds of good vibes for beautiful Suki and her baby.....
I also hope the lady knows,it's not going to be easy introducing Suki to her other Siamese cats, but I am sure you'll give her some pointers

Homecheck done! Perfect home! The only way it could be more perfect is if there were no other cats in the home. Lovely home, window seats everywhere for kitties, and kind and quiet lady who lives alone.

Suki gets spayed Wednesday and she and her baby will go straight from the vet to the new home. My girlies are going to be very upset, but this is the last move for them.

I'm going to miss this sweet and beautiful babies a lot.

Thank you Chico. My beautiful girls are gone. Their new mom was so excited she bought me a sweet little gift and showed up early.
Hope it will go well for these babies.

And the EXTRA good news is that we were able to save and adopt out 4 of Suki's other babies.

Chatocat, we have ANOTHER Siamese mom and her 3 kits, who DESPERATELY need a home! They've been in a cage at the vet's for weeks now, and are going nuts there!

You can see them HERE and if you know of anyone who may want them, please direct them to us!!

LR, actually, I have 3 e-mails from people looking for kittens. If we don't have the kitten they want, I will send them your way

LR, you will find with me I don't mind helping other rescues. For me, it's about finding loving and responsible homes for all of these cats/kittens. I'd gladly send anyone your way who is looking for a cat/kitten that we don't have in hopes of helping to get them adopted. Besides, you have done so much for me that I'm thrilled to be able to help you in some way Have a great day!!

CyberKitten

Hi everyone,

I had emailed LuckyRescue about the momma cat, mistakingly thinking it was from that rescue center. I am new to this Board so thought she posted that picture. Sorry Lucky!!! I wanted to adopt her but I live too far.

That said, I wonder what others think of my quandry. I am searching for a Siamese and especially a special needs one. The irony for me is that I can pay $500 to a breeder - and there are two here in New Brunswick - and reserve a kitten - or I could look at a rescue group. Siamese Rescue in the US has a wonderful service known as Meezer Express through which they would get the cat to me (after I paid various fees of course - not as much as $500 but several hundred) But what is money when you are saving a life!!!

But there is no Meezer Express in Canada, sigh

I have been approved to adopt a meezer in Boston - where my sister lives - and may have to fly there to pick one up. There are no Siamese available it seems in the Maritimes (one was available in Halifax , a geezer Meezer who would have been a fine companison but someone adopted him while I was conversing about the cat showed here ).

So, does anyone know of a Siamese that needs a good home?

I may just give in tomorrow and reserve a kitten from a breeder but why can't we have a Meezer Express and save Siamese here?

Thanks for listening to my frustrations!!

Keep up the good work!

Kindest regards,

CyberKitten
