The New Kong Wobbler

From the Kong website ( http://www.kongcompany.com/newproducts.html ):

"KONG Wobbler
The KONG Wobbler is a KONG- shaped food dispensing toy and feeder that provides a new way to entertain and challenge your dog. The Wobbler sits upright until pushed with a dog’s paw or nose, then wobbles, spins and rolls, dispensing treats through a KONG-shaped hole near the top. Dogs quickly learn that motion causes treats to fall out, but the unpredictable movement keeps the toy challenging, even for seasoned Wobbler users.

The Wobbler is a fabulous toy for playtime, providing challenge and physical activity the whole family will enjoy watching. It also presents an excellent alternative to the traditional food bowl, extending the joy of feeding time and preventing unhealthy gulping.

The Wobbler is Made in the USA of durable, FDA food-approved, high-strength polymer. It unscrews for quick filling and easy clean-up, and is top-drawer dishwasher safe. With “one size fits all” sizing, the KONG Wobbler is suitable for all dogs weighing 10 pounds or more."

I spent about 30 seconds showing Nukka how to use it before she took over like a pro. About 15 minutes passed before she was able to empty it of 3/4 cup of kibble. I wouldn't recommend this toy being played with near stairs...it's heavy and would hurt if it landed on someone . Other than that, Nukka says it's a hit .

While you guys get a chance to view the video, think you might offer a few guesses as to Nukka's breed ?

Staying still is not one of her strengths unless she's sleeping .

She's way too small for Lab/Corgi although that was what most ppl thought when she first arrived. Vet says she's at least 7 months old and she only weighs 22lbs. I don't imagine she'll get much bigger.

looks like a different version of the round treat ball, only you can clean the inside (which is good).

Buddy always ends up wanting me to shake all the treats out for him--he likes seeing the treats fall out and into my hand.

My goodness she's so cute! LOL, I love that thing. She looks like she's an expert.

I don't know much about breeds, but maybe some lab/jack russel?

I sense some ulterior motive here that I'm in full sympathy with!

I think the Pack has a new toy on the horizon! Cass is gonna love it!!!

for the heads up, Nukka! (Oh, you, too, LP )

They very recently came out, TQ. I think they were only made available to distributors a couple of weeks ago. The store I deal with received their first shipment on Monday. Not sure if Walmart will sell them...the ones here are pretty limited in dog toys . Maybe your son can ask the store manager if they plan on ordering them? It's 21.99$ where I got it.

I don't see why not. It's pretty big and heavy though...at least a few pounds and measures approx. 20x13cm.

I'll have to go on a search. I wouldn't put it out in the catuary. Would leave it in the house so I could supervise. Maybe it's a way to get Keesha to eat a little more. She loves toys and loves to work for pleasure.

Oooohhh, looks like great fun .

Nukka is adorable . I wouldn't totally give up on the lab/corgi concept as many labs are on the smaller side these days . I do agree that there might be JRT in there though.

LP, I asked the clerk at Walmart today if they were getting anymore toys in for dogs and she said no cause they just upgraded the dog section. *sigh*

I bought one of these for Tegan when I was out of town last week and she doesn't play with it, she waits for me to knock it over to get the food out.

My dil bought one for their dog too and Charlie doesn't play with his either and he is a rough playing dog.

so it looked like fun, but so far our dogs don't care for it.

Debbie

Nolie got one of these for her "gotcha day" and she gives it (out of five).

She got the hang of it right away, well sort of, as big and heavy as the "wobbler" is, she still picks the whole thing up and throws it around to get the treats out Makes for a nice treat dispenser I can leave filled up and on the floor for her to knock round at her leisure, it's not exciting enough that she tries to get all the treats out at once, I put a 1/2 cup of kibble in each night and she messes around with it throughout the next day. If I fill up a tricky treat ball for her, he has it empty within 15 minutes.

We got ours at a "Global pet foods" for $19.99. So far, worth it
