Decal

I've been looking for this decal to put on the van, does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

I WANT THIS. Please, please please... DO post any info you get about it! I'm thinking T-shirts. Heck, I'd paste it all over the neighbourhood and on the front of my house if we got it up on posters.

That really does say it all. Thanks Chris!

I LOVE it, chris. Wow what a fund raiser that would be for shelters to sell cause I sure would buy one.

It's not quite the same thing and I couldn't find any decals, but zazzle.ca has some stuff with that line:

http://www.zazzle.ca/top_10_reasons_...73124066274511

http://www.zazzle.ca/top+10+reasons+spay+gifts

... and other spay/neuter merch as well:

http://www.zazzle.ca/spay+or+neuter+gifts

But I really really like the idea about a fundraiser for a shelter! That design isn't hard to make, you would just need to find someone willing to do the printing on the cheapish side.

Nifty site Fleo !

Hazel, you're a crafty-gal. Isn't there a fancy type of transfer sheet (this isn't the *right* lingo) which is super-easy to use for any photos onto any fabric or surface. I remember seeing something like it at Grand & Toy (a business products kinda store) which I'm sure is available at craft stores as well.

I'm thinking fund-raiser too L4H.

Yep, I'm pretty sure there's such a thing, MMM, though I've never used it. I think you need to use an iron to transfer an image! Not in my repertoire!

I think I've seen it at JoAnn's Fabrics in town.

I did a quick search at cafe press (www.cafepress.ca) and they have close to what you're looking for. They don't have that exact decal, but they have similar with that same wording.

Is, is! It's called heat transfer paper and you can buy it at craft stores, places selling computer accessories (along with glossy printing paper, CD stickers and the likes), hell, I'm sure Walmart sells it However, that route would mean that for every single item you want to make design would have to be printed, hand-cut, and ironed-on.... which is a lot of work.

Now, I know zilch about making decals*, but a better way for anything textile-y would be to make a stencil and use plain ol' fabric paint.

* But I have a lot of time on my hands right now, so I'm going to google-educate myself right now

Here's what I found, mummummum: http://shop.cafepress.ca/reasons-spay-neuter

And as for decals, it's terribly complicated.

Step 1: Buy decal/sticker paper.

Step 2: Design your... design,

Step 3: Print your design on decal paper, or print it on regular paper and copy on decal paper.

Step 4: Peel and stick.

One of these days, I swear, I'll google myself a degree

Anyway, the paper is quite reasonably priced if you buy in bulk - 50-60 bucks for 75 sheets the interwebz says - and it supposedly sticks to all sorts of surfaces, so we could be talking mugs, key chains, car stickers, all sorts of stuff.

Wal-mart sells the transfer sheets, pretty cheap!

The transfers are really easy to use. Most domestic (home) printers now a days have a choice right in the settings to use T-shirt transfers and they automatically reverse the image when printing onto the transfer page.

If you're thinking fundraiser though, it might be best to save Chris' picture and take it to a company that can mass produce fundraising items.

But could you put the decal on a magnet and then use the magnet to attach to your car???

Yep you can L4H....the only thing with putting a magnet on a vehicle is that any dodo walking along can take it off....I've already had a couple removed never to see them again
