Question Dog using child's room as bathroom

Hi,
So my 6 month old German shepard Pyrenees cross, Juno, has decided to use our 8 month old daughter's room as her bathroom. Juno is housetrained, but do you think this is a jealousy issue? We give alot of attention to Juno and we had our daughter before we got the dog. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA,
Amanda

ETA: sorry, apparently I can't read. just noticed you have a girl pup...

If my dog dared do such a thing, I can guarantee that'd be the last time he stepped foot in my son's room, at least, unsupervised. I'm curious as to how this is happening? Is your 6mth pup allowed access to your daughters room whenever she wants? or is this happening with you in the room?

She WAS allowed in whenever she wanted because she had been house trained, so as she was here longer, we left more doors open to give her freedom. Now, no way, she's not allowed in the room without me or my husband in there.

At this age, set backs in house breaking are not all that uncommon.

Personally, I would go back to square one. Back to a strict routine as far as feeding and potty breaks. I might even tether her to me so that she can not sneak off.

I agree, this is not the time to let them have more freedom!!

My dog squatted and peed on my bed while looking at me at 7 months old.

Back to the basics with house training as well as manners and discipline. if it's not medical, and she does it continuously, it's behavioral.

I would continue and advance some training, it's a critical time for them to know their place within your family, they look for challenges, need stimulation, exercise, socialization and basic training in their daily routine. (I know you're a busy mom ) Even if it's a bunch of sit stays or down stays each day...work on it. If you look up puppy developmental stages you will see your sweet pup is now an adolescent...they will push it to the limits, try anything...they get saucy. The first 2 years are their developmental years.

Um, where are the pictures of this girl?
