Tapeworms reoccuring with treatment
my kitty has been treated by the vet for tapeworms and for fleas and still gets the worms on an every other month basis. Anyone have any answers for me?

Hello
Is he an indoor cat? Does he hunt? Cats get these kinds of worms from fleas and mice. Lyne |

..and moles, prairie dogs, etc. Tapeworms are not pathogenic unless the pet is very young or the immune system is compromised....but they are very gross!

Thanks to all for the information. Junior is an indoor cat and seems to be in good health. I guess the dog is bringing them in or something but its weird that i have never seen fleas on either one of my babies.
