Rainbow, Chico,Happycats, phoozies...You guys are so nice. Thanks for the comments. Here are the donkeys..or the donketes as we call them. They are precious. they are absolutely tiny.and ornery. Black one is Diablo, grey is Pablo. I see them both latch onto husband butt and drag him around the field . He can hardly sit down, his butt's so sore from donkey bites ...but I have to admit I been laughing watching him walk around with 2 tiny donkeys swinging off his butt like flags in the wind.Thier legs are so short they don't really run , they do a donkey hop. And what deep voices come out of those tiny bodys!. We adopted them in November. Here are some pics of the little scamps. Thanks for asking about them.

Ornery or not Pablo and Diablo are soooo cute. But, your poor hubby's butt. Must have been funny to see though......keep the camera handy next time so we can have a laugh too.

Dorothea..The donkeys are very small and won't get much bigger They may be as tall as a great dane at maturity .The are so friendly and nosey. always digging into our pockets for treats.
The donkeys are really very sweet. But I can't believe how tiny they are. The grey one has very bowed legs and the black one is potbellied so they were going to be sent to auction{slaughter} so we adopted them. we don't care if they are not perfect. They are perfect for us. They are very noisy. have very big mouths and talk all the time and run like cheetas in thier crazy donkey hop. you have to laugh cause you wonder how they don't fall over. They eat like horses. big appetites. but they run it off. they will run for 20 min just for fun. here are a few more donkey pics .
The goats and donkeys live in great harmony and do not tease each other. at feeding the donkeys will kick at the goats but really quite halfheartedly. The goats do a fake head butt in thier general direction but never make contact. they sleep together and when the donkeys are taken out of the field the goats baaa for them to come back. The donkeys are way to small to live with our horses so they ended up with the goats by default . it turned out just fine. Ty for looking at our little family.

Rainbow. yes you are so right about the camera. These animals are so funny. They are quite a bunch of comedians.Always picking on my husband mostly. And yes come visit...these goats need to be seen to be believed. They are really smart and are always scheming and plotting against us. LOL. I have never had so much fun as with these goats. They break into the house, jump into the car for groceries, chase the UPS truck, unplug the electric fences and let the horses out. Then , I swear, they laugh in goat-laugh at the confusion and bedlam they create....would not trade them for anything. they are a riot.

happycats.Diablo is ok..he has a tan/white muzzle and specks of tan hair on his face and neck. They are pretty hardy for little guys.We built them a huge shed, very sturdy and warm and they would rather stand in the rain. they like snow and sleet. Just opposite the goats who act like they will melt if they get wet.Thank you for your comment about our rescues and adoptions. There are so many sweet animals we have taken in that are now our family. I know many here are just as passionate about rescue and adoption.
But no matter where any of our furbabies come from, as furparents ,we all have one thing in common. We love them and give them the best care and best homes and best lives we can.
I can tell everyone here feels that way about their pets

We need video pics of Pablo and Diablo's antics.

And, don't forget the pics of the cats and dog.

I'm so demanding.

We have 4 kitties. They have adjusted well to country life. Although they had always been indoor cats they now go out for a bit each day if the weather is good. They scream till we let them out ...put it that way. Then they catch field mice and sneak them into the house and bury them in the bed pillows.Albert the yellow boy won't drink out of a water dish. he has his own cups on all the sinks and they have to be changed daily. Littlekitty is the grey tabby, Sylvester is white and Cisco is our youngest and only black kitty we ever had.I adore cats and have never in my adult life been without at least two.

Here is our dog Patches.Patches has been with us only a short time.
Our dog of 20 years , Rusty, died in November.Rusty was orig a rescue dog .abused. but she became a wonderful companion and overcame her fear and distrust..
We were not going to get another dog right away but events just kept putting Patches in our path. She is from the humane society. She is such a great companion. Now I can not imagine home w/o her.

Frenchy we are in Pennsylvania, very rural secluded setting. We moved here and the place was a wreck. but it is coming along slowly. My city slicker husband even learned how to drive a tractor.
Yes you could have a mini donkey and a bunch of little goats...you would love them...now I am trying to convince my husband to get a couple of mini horses. I have contacted a couple rescue organizations already but he does not know that. Maybe they will be here one day when he comes home and I can say "why they have been here for years, you just never noticed them before" HA ha HA!!!!!!!

Alleymack thank you so much for your kind comments. We do ride. Western, mostly trail riding. We had boarded 5 horses for several years and it was expensive. It made more sense to buy property and have them with us all the time. We had seven after we moved here but have since found loving homes for two of our rescues. We now have 4 adult horses and one baby who will be two in May.
...I really hope I can sneak a couple mini horses in...lol...
Here are some more pics of the horses.

Ahhhhh...you live in paradise.

Patches is a cutie as are all your kitties. Cisco is so shiny and I love Albert...I've always wanted an orange tabby. And, the pic of the goats sleeping on the car is too funny.

Rainbow..our orange tabby Albert was my sisters cat and when she remarried Albert dispised her new husband. He would roll his cat doo doo out of his litterbox and into new hubbys boot. Down goes the foot in the morning into warm boot and ....squish!!!!!!!needless to say new hubby could not live with Albert. So he came here and his doo doo has stayed in the litter box....but we are very careful not to make him mad.....

Chico2...thank you for the kind comments. After we bought the farm we knew we had funds and room to foster/adopt/rescue. We had alwayd done that with cats and dogs but had no idea how many farm animals were in need of good homes. abused , neglected, starved...it started with one abused goat...then horses...then goats...donkeys....more goats....So now we have over 50 % rescued animals . We have not kept everyone we brouht here. We have adopted out several goats and two horses. 2 more goats go to a great home in May....It is rewarding to see these creatures fatten up and bloom again...that is the best part of living here.....now let me tell you about all the MUD!!!!!!!LOL

here is the tail end of 3 horses at dusk last fall.
